I have worked in higher education for 15+ years as a professor, assistant registrar, academic advisor, admissions advisor, financial aid advisor, and financial literacy consultant. I enjoy helping students succeed, and I am happy to share my financial education expertise with you! I currently work for Inceptia, a non-profit organiation that specializes in helping colleges and universities provide financial education and solutions to their students. Dr. Dean Skarlis Dr. Skarlis is the President and founder of The College Advisor of New York. Dean has 23 years of experience in higher education, including 6 years as a Consultant at American College Testing (ACT) and 9 years as an administrator at Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. A passionate student advocate, Dean has taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and has served as a Senior Lecturer at Tiffin University. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Allegheny College, an M.A. in Psychology from Duquesne University, and a Doctorate in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Dean also earned a certificate from the Harvard University Institute on College Admissions. He has also been a featured speaker and trainer for hundreds of financial planners and Certified Public Accountants on the intricacies of college financial aid and scholarships. With over 25 years of financial aid and educational lending experience, Rick Ross uses his expertise to help students and families figure out how to pay for college and repay student loans. He is the co-founder of both College Financing Group and eCollegeConsulting, where he provides students and parents with an independent and objective voice in the college application and financing process and helps borrowers struggling with student loan repayment. Prior to co-founding College Financing Group and eCollegeConsulting, Rick worked in higher education lending roles for two Fortune 500 banks and served as Assistant Financial Aid Director at Erie Community College.
